at a race in Indiana this past weekend. He had joined us at Ohsweken
for the Nationals - I took numerous photos of him (the white car with red wing,numbered

Shane Stewart won the Canadian Sprint Car National feature, followed
by Chuck Hebing, Wayne Johnson and Steve Poirier.
Glenn Styres was top qualifier at 14.288 seconds, with 77 cars time

There was a reunion of drivers celebrating the 1949 opening
of the half mile dirt Pinecrest Speedway.
It took place at the Pinecrest Restaurant, located on
Highway 7, just west of Keele St, next door to the
original location of the speedway.
The restaurant was packed with drivers, family, and
fans of the Speedway (both the dirt and asphalt versions).
The owners of the restaurant donated all the day's
receipts to charity (the Childrens Breakfast Club), so
please stop by if you have a chance. There are photos
from Pinecrest on the wall. Thanks to Dave Boon as well
for organizing the event.

The annual Performance World Show was held the weekend
of March 14
at the International Centre just outside of Toronto.

The Canadian Motorsports Expo was held Jan 16th to 18th
at the International Centre just outside of Toronto.
One of the hightlights of Sunday's show was the CNE Pinecrest
reunion. I shot many photos during the reception attended by
drivers, staff, friends and relatives from both tracks.
There are also shots of the presentation held during the afternoon.
The photo at left is of Jim Hallahan and Tom Milligan - 2 of the many
drivers present.

The Canadian Motorsports Expo was held Jan 16th to 18th
at the International Centre just outside of Toronto.
Highlights of Saturday's show included a visit by Jacques Villeneuve.
I shot many photos of the autograph session, a media only press conference,
and the public press conference.
I also shot photos of
a presentation by members of the press - Eric Tomas (Raceline),
Jeff Pappone (Globe), Norris McDonald (Star), Dean McNulty (Sun) and Hugh
Burrill (CityTV).
There was also a presentation headed by Ron Fellows, with Joel Robinson,
Jerry Priddle, Brad Brown, Steve Snowden and Tim Miller.

at the International Centre just outside of Toronto.
One of the highlights of Friday's show was Spencer Lewis' presentation
to the winners of the
Ontario Asphalt Short Track Power Rankings.
The top 10 were Jeff Hanley (1st), Tom Walters, Steve Robblee,
Glenn Watson, Ron Sheridan, Dwight Brown, Dan McHattie, Jason Shaw,
Jonathan Urlin, with Keith McLeod and Chris Morrow tied for 10th.
