Blair Wickett won the first Pro Late Model feature, followed by Chase Pinsonneault, Kyle Steckly, JR Fitzpatrick and Cole Quinton. Kyle Steckly won the second Pro Late Model feature, followed by Lane Zardo, Chase Pinsonneault, Rick Burbridge and Jake Gilbert. Tyler Bouillon won the second Ontario Modified feature, with John Baker Jr in 2nd and Andrew Massey in 3rd. The 2 Can-Am Midget heats were won by Cory Whittam and Daniel Hawn. Daniel Hawn won the Can-Am Midget feature, followed by Cory Whittam and Jeff Blackburn. The top 3 in the first Pro Challenge feature were Emma Norris, Tim Norris and Bryan Stevanus. I started out to Ohsweken this afternoon , but they had to cancel due to wet grounds while i was en route. At least this time i only had a 1.5 hour roundtrip. On June 16, when i left, they were also still trying to to dry the grounds, and that was almost a 5 hour round trip. Ohsweken has had a tough time this season dealing with the weather. Today featured the NASCAR Pinty's 100 and the Sit'n Bull Tire Sprint Shootout for the Action Sprint Tour and the 360 Sprints. Tonight featured Kids rides, with drivers giving the kids a couple of laps around the track. There were also numerous kid's bikes given away, donated by race teams and others. John Baker Jr won the first Ontario Modifieds feature, followwed by Tyler Bouillon and Alex Cuzzilla. John Baker Jr won the second Ontario Modified feature, with Alex Cuzzilla 2nd and Tyler Bouillon 3rd. Ricky Willigar won the first Canadian Vintage Modified feature, followed by Mike Podd and Quinton Murdoch. TJ Marshall won the second CVM feature, with Quinton Murdoch 2nd and Scott Tonelli 3rd. The top 3 in the first Mini Stock feature were Nolan Gould, Tyler Lewis and Kaitlyn Wallace. The top 3 in the second Mini feature were Mike Thomson, Noland Gould and Tyler Lewis. Wayde Thorne won the first Pure Stock feature, followed by Jordan Willms and Gary Slama. Cameron Thomson won the second Pure Stock feature, followed by Jordan Willms and Wayde Thorne. Shannon Morris won the first SOMA Pro4 Modified feature, with Cliff Hodgekinson 2nd and Liz McFarland 3rd. Dario Cocco won the second SOMA feature,followed by Shannon Morris and Liz McFarland. Tonight was Memorial Night, honouring Brock Leonard, in a 50 lap Thunder Stock race, Noelle Teal, in twin 14 lap Crate Sprint races, and Art Hill, in a 42 lap Mini Stock race. Mack DeMan won the first Crate Sprint feature, followed by Mike Bowman and Sheldon Bender. Mike Bowman won the 2nd Crate Sprint feature, followed by Mack DeMan and Steve Murdock. Ryan Beagle won the Thunder Stock feature, with Dave Bailey in 2nd and Kyle Wert in 3rd. Alex Riley won the Mini Stock feature, followed by Austyn Werstroh and Ashton Dickie. Noah's Dash, with Sprints, Thunders and Minis all racing together, resulted in Wayde Thorne finishing first in the Mini Stocks, Kyle Wert finishing first in the Thunder Stocks and Brett Stratford finishing first in the Crate Sprints. After 2 previous rain outs, Merrittville finally held Wreckfest. A light rain slowed down the 72 lap Enduro, which was won by Darrell Geerlinks, followed by James Richard and Teddy Sheppard. Despite the damp conditions, a good show was put on by Pro Rider FMX. There was also a demolition of a house trailer, a Flag Pole race, a Chain race (pairs of cars were joined), a Backwards race and a Demolition event. I left the Toronto Indy near the end of the race, to travel to Flamboro Speedway for their rain delayed APC race today. Shae Gemmell won the APC LLR 100 lap feature, followed by Jake Sheridan, Blair Wickett, Jo Lawrence and Josh Stade. Brandon McFerran won the 50 lap Qwick Wick Super Stock feature, followed by Lane Zardo, Shawn Chenoweth, Carson Nagy and Ryan Dyson. James Stanley won the Can-Am Midget 25 lap feature, followed by Daniel Hawn, Cory Whittam, Jeff Blackburn and JR Farrelly. The VARAC Vintage Grand Prix was held this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Today i shot races for Vintage Historic A, 1,2,3,4,5,6, Classic/Modern Classic 1,2,3,4,5, V over 2500 and the Toyo F1600 Championship. I also shot many Historic cars which were on display in the 'Field of Dreams' and during a pace lap over the lunch break. Today i travelled from CTMP to Peterborough Speedway for the APC 100 lap Pro Late Model race, and the Qwick Wick 50 lap Super Stock race. Kyle Steckly won the APC PLM race, followed by Jo Lawrence, Danny Benedict, Jake Sheridan, Shawn Chenoweth, JR Fitzpatrick, Treyten Lapcevich, Blair Wickett, Ryan Kimball and Josh Stade. Carson Nagy won the Qwick Wick SS race, bollowed by Lane Zardo, Miles Tyson, Gord Shepherd, Chase Pinsonneault, Dwayne Baker, Marlie Owen, Coltin Everingham and Ryden Lapcevich. I travelled from Flamboro's practice to Merrittville Speedway this afternoon. After 2 weekends of rainouts, Merrittville held their season opening race tonight. Mat Williamson won the Modified feature, followed by Gary Lindberg, Scott Wood, Pete Bicknell, Chad Brachmann and Mike Bowman. Cody McPherson won the Sportsman feature, with James Friesen in 2nd, Brent Begolo 3rd, Chad Chevalier 4th and Adam Leslie 5th. Dave Bailey won the Hoosier Stock feature, followed by Rob Murray, Mark Fawcett, Ryan Beagle and Pete Reid. The top 3 in the 4 Cylinder division were Alex Riley, Nick Erskine and Austyn Werstroh. Humberstone Speedway held the 19th Wreckfest Saturday night. Dilian Sliter won the 100 lap Enduro, with Rodney Rutherford finishing 2nd. There was also a Woman's Race, and Youth Race, a Backwards Race, a Flagpole Race (they had to circle a concrete block each lap), 4 Figure Eight Races and a Demolition Derby. Peterborough Speedway held the 29th running of the Autumn Colours Classic October 7-9. The final day consisted of features. JR Fitzpatrick won the 167 lap Pro Late Model feature followed by Gord Shepherd, Ryan Kimball, Travis Hallyburton and Connor James. Andy Kamrath won the OSCAAR Modified feature, Tyler Hawn won the OSCAAR Hot Rod feature, Shawn Chenoweth won the Super Stock feature, Adam Cuthbertson won the Legends feature (and was the Legends overall winner), James Townsend won the Mini Stock feature and Craig Cole won the Bone Stock feature. Lane Zardo won the Qwick Wick Super Stock 50, followed by Gerrit Tiemersma and Roy Wilkie. Cory Wittam won the Can-Am Midget feature, with Daniel Hawn in 2nd and David Miller in 3rd. Sunset Speedway held the annual Spring Velocity weekend on Saturday May 21 and Sunday May 22. I arrived at Sunset after shooting the NASCAR race at CTMP in time to see the end of qualifying and all of the features. Tom Walters won the OSCAAR Hot Rod feature, followed by 80 year old Bill Zardo SENIOR ('I never did retire'), Donny Beatie and Amanda Balson. Andy Kamrath won the OSCAAR Modified feature Kelly Balson, TJ Edwards, Herb Walters and Marshall Schrenk. Miles Tyson won the Limited Late Model feature, Brandon Passer won the Super Stock feature, Shawn Taylor won the Mini Stock feature and 0 won the Bone Stock feature. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park held the annual Victoria Day Speedfest this weekend from Friday May 20 through Sunday May 22. Kevin Lacroix passed Gary Klutt on the last corner to win the NASCAR Pinty's eBay Motors 200 race. Lacroix was followed by Alex Tagliani, Dexter Stacey, Gary Klutt, Louis-Philippe Montour, Treyten Lapcevich, LP Doumoulin, Brandon Watson, JP Bergeron and Larry Jackson. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park held the annual Victoria Day Speedfest this weekend from Friday May 20 through Sunday May 22. Saturday was interrupted by a severe storm. Today featured test sessions and practices for the following series: Nissan Sentra Cup, Sports Car Championship Canada presented by Michelin, Super Production Challenge and Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin. JR Fitzpatrick won both Pro Late Model features, with Chis Howse in 2nd and Mark Burbridge in 3rd both times. David Miller won the Can-Am Midget feature, followed by Cory Wittam and Jeff Blackburn. Lane Zardo won both Super Stock features and Bobby Mercer won both Mini Stock features. The top 3 finishers in the 1st Pure Stock feature were all women - Bourgeois Reece, Gillian Hils and Courtney Scott. Eric Stewart won the 2nd Pure Stock feature. Merrittville Speedway held their annual Spring Sizzler event tonight. Jake Brown won the SOS Sprint feature, followed by Ryan Turner, Jacob Dykstra, Mitch Brown, Glenn Styres and Aaron Turkey. Pete Bicknell won the Modified feature, with Ryan Susice in 2nd, Chad Chevalier in 3rd, Fred Carleton in 4th and Scott Wood in 5th. James Friesen won the Sportsman feature, followed by Justin Sharp and Cody McPherson. Dave Bailey won the Hoosier Stock feature, followed by Mark Fawcett and Jason Fontaine. Tyler Lafantasie won the 4 Cylinder feature, with Kenny Hair finishing 2nd and Clinton Barrick finishing 3rd.

Dragstrip Memories, Sunday April 10, 2022
The car show Dragstrip Memories was held Sunday April 10, 2022 at the Warplane Heritage Museum in Mount Hope. It featured numerous vintage dragsters and many vendors. I shot all of the race cars, as well as the restored warplanes in the museum.
