The first day of the 2 day Velocity Weekend had 2 rounds of qualifying for the Late Models, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, and qualifying and features for the Can-Am Midgets, Legends and Pro Challenge. Rob Neely won the first Can-Am Midget feature. I covered the events up to the intermission (then travelled to Flamboro for the end of their show - my attempt at covering both shows).
